The Archēnode exhibition is shaped by mythological memory and traces of ancient geographies, and I interpret traditional techniques with a contemporary aesthetic understanding. I discover figures that emerge in natural forms starting from satellite images and make them visible through pointillism technique. I produce by bringing together the algorithmic suggestions of artificial intelligence, which is my research field, with my intuitive selections.
Today, I use AI and AR technologies as organic components, creating a multi-layered perception field and transforming the viewer from merely being an observer into an intuitive partner of the narrative.
Archē: A concept used by the philosophers of the Ionian School for the fundamental substance of the universe. It means "root," "first principle," or "starting point." In the temples of Delphi, it was also the name of the muse of inspiration that artists invoked in their prayers when seeking creative guidance.
Node: An independent processing unit in communication networks. A system element that stores, processes, and communicates data.
Archēnode is a dialogue established between the wisdom of the past and the tools of the future. The exhibition reinterprets the historical memory of the Mesopotamian geography through a contemporary perspective. Forms intuitively discovered in satellite imagery are revitalized by drawing references from ancient narratives such as the Epic of Gilgamesh.
The exhibition uses AI (artificial intelligence) and AR (augmented reality) technologies as an organic part of the creative process. The figures on physical canvases are brought to life with movement and emotional responses generated by AI models. This collective production process creates multi-layered narratives by combining traditional materials with digital visual language.
Sensory Interface
When viewing the artworks through mobile devices or tablets in the exhibition space, visitors encounter an experience that transcends the seemingly static canvases. Physical figures gain movement and expression through AR layers. This technological interface eliminates the distance between viewer and artwork, transforming visual perception into a sensory contact.
